All registered persons may upload JPG, GIF, PNG files within their Personal Storage space for ease in including within message posts. Keep in mind, however, that this tool will re-size images automatically if they are larger than the maximum 400 x 400 pixel limit. While we recognize many people visiting our site are using monitors with larger resolutions, we feel this restriction is still necessary to avoid page distortions.
Image files may also be attached to messages, along with the following types: TXT, PDF, and ZIP. These will show as a list at the bottom of your message. We are not imposing resolution restrictions to image files attached to messages, however there is a size limit that varies by role. People may open images attached to posts in this manner by simply clicking on them.

Updated as of 9/22/08! Rather than describe, in text using one or more screen shots how to write a message post here and include an image within it, a video on this topic has been created. This video is in Flash, and is sized to appear within these web pages (width of 400px). File size for this video is about 20mb, and it is set to stream automatically upon arrival on that page. Those with slower Internet connections may need to let the entire video download before they can watch it.

Registered users within certain roles may include a written Biography statement that will appear within their Profile and as links attached to posts in Groups and the Forum. Other persons logged into the system may view this to learn more about someone, and it will also be scanned by search engines during routine visits. Keep in mind, however, that all such submissions are reviewed for suitability. Design COMP reserves the right to reject someone's written Biography statement without giving cause or notice.
The intent behind a Biography is to showcase someone's work history, education, awards, etc. Links to other locations substantiating credentials, whatever those may be, are expected and encouraged. One example would be those wishing to advertise their availability for collaborative work (other programmers, graphic designers, voice-over (VO) artists, etc.). Biography statements should be no longer than 500 words.

The online Profiles connected to a post someone makes on this site cannot be seen by those who are not logged in. Nor do we provide membership lists or numbers about those registered on the site under any circumstances. Only those having membership within a given group (private or public) will be able to see facts about other members. These are part of our overall privacy policies and will not change.
